Taylor W. Hensel

 

At Buckley Christopher & Hensel, Taylor practices in the areas of general civil litigation, trucking, premises and retail liability, and governmental/municipal liability.  Specifically, Taylor defends governmental entities and employers in all claims, including personal injury, property damage, Title VII race, gender, retaliation, and religious discrimination; 42 U.S .C. § 1981; 42 U.S.C § 1983 (claims brought under the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, and 14th Amendments to the United States Constitution); the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”); the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”); and the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), along with various state law tort claims and claims of state constitutional deprivation.

Within the arena of trucking defense, Taylor has extensive experience defending motor vehicle liability claims against companies and drivers involved in the trucking and transportation industry, including bus litigation.  He is committed to maintaining a working knowledge of all state and federal regulations and can provide support from an "on-the-scene" investigation through trial to ensure the interests of his clients are protected throughout the litigation.

In premises and retail liability suits, Taylor has represented property owners and managers in a variety of claims, from slip-and-falls and dram shop allegations to wrongful death claims resulting from shootings.  He takes pride in working directly with his clients to reach resolution as quickly and cost-effectively as possible; however, should the need arise, Taylor will not hesitate to take a case to a jury.

 

Lastly, Taylor also has significant experience in general civil litigation, having represented companies and insurers across Georgia in commercial disputes, personal injury and product liability claims, coverage disputes, and claims under uninsured motorist policies.

 

In his free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on his teams, UGA and FSU.
